6 Clever Ways to Make Your Storefront Look Brand New

In a world where image is everything, looking the part is incredibly important. The same goes for how your business looks too! You know, when you’re walking down the street and you notice that a business has taken the time to ensure their storefront look brand new? You’re more likely to walk inside and check it out, aren’t you? On the other hand, when you walk by a rundown building covered in graffiti, that’s a real eyesore, you’d probably assume that store went out of business (then you’d quickly cross the street).

A healthy business must have a growing customer base. After all, it’s only when you get more customers to walk past your storefront and through your doors, that you can make sales and generate bigger profits. The trouble is, pulling traffic into your business takes more than just great marketing. There are many other factors that you must consider. With that in mind, here are five clever ways to make your storefront look brand new!

6 Clever Ways to Make Your

Storefront Look Brand New

Display Sale Items Outside

A great way to entice customers to buy is to hold a clearance sale. This will only work, however, if those customers know what items you have reduced. Although a window display can be effective, you might want to put cheaper products outside the building. This could lure customers to come inside and make impulse purchases.

Put Up Visible Signage

A business without visible signs is a huge problem. Not only does it make it difficult for customers to spot your store, but it also makes it appear unprofessional and untrustworthy. When choosing a sign, make sure that it is large and easy to read. You might also want plastic letters. This material lasts longer than most, so you won’t have to replace the signs as often.

Sweep Up Any Trash

While you may not have dumped the trash outside your business, leaving it there shows a lack of care. It also makes the store look less appealing to prospective customers walking by. The easiest way to solve this is to take a broom and sweep up. Make sure to clean the parking lot too. You will also want to empty any trash bins in front of, or around your store regularly so that passersby have somewhere to put their trash.

Apply A Fresh Coat

This applies to your storefront, of course, but if you’re able… you may want to freshen up the abandoned storefront next to you as well! It could be covered in graffiti or have broken windows and while it’s not directly your responsibility, you don’t want a visual like that taking away from all the hard work you’ve put into your own storefront. Oh, and paint your storefront as well! A fresh coat will protect the structure, which means less maintenance.

Paint New Parking Lines

Although some don’t, many businesses have parking areas, both for their staff and the customers. The trouble is, your parking lot might cause more harm than good if it’s missing parking lines. A parking area that appears new will make your entire business appear new too. For this reason, you should paint new lines and go over them again whenever you need to.

Replace The Damaged

Sidewalk

The sidewalks outside a building are very rarely the responsibility of the business itself. However, that doesn’t change the fact that a chipped or cracked walkway will reflect badly on you. This is especially true if someone were to hurt themselves because of the damage. Repairing any damage will help to prevent this, as well as contribute to an overall polished store appearance.
